254 Massachusetts Avenue, Telecommunications Hotel, Boston, MA

The 254 Massachusetts Avenue project was a repositioned state-of-the-art telecommunications center complex to be constructed within the existing NECCO Building in two phases. The project involved approximately 451,000 SF of telecommunications space. Services included master planning, long-haul carrier coordination, entrance facility design, shaft sizing, meet-me room design, telecommunications grounding design and OSP site surveys.

ACE Insurance Company, Hamilton, Bermuda

The new 211,000 SF headquarters building featured Class A office space and an underground parking facility. The communication system design allowed the Information Technology Services group to conveniently administer all network services from a central location.

ACT Manufacturing, Inc., Dublin, Ireland

Telecommunication and data network design/consulting services for a new 45,000 SF printed circuit board and cabling manufacturing facility in Dublin Ireland. This overseas project required a working knowledge of the European Committee for Electro technical Standardization (CENELEC) and ISO/IEC 11801 for telecommunications equipment cabling.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

Provided access control and video security system evaluation and design services for BCBS geographically dispersed facilities throughout Massachusetts. Projects included video security, CATV, access control, site assessment studies, cable plant design, and intercom and coordination/technical liaison services for bridging IT and Facilities Management departmental requirements.

EMC Corporation, Building 5, Southborough, MA

This 200,000 SF conversion of a warehouse and light manufacturing building to a state-of-the-art Engineering and R&D facility features over 150,000 SF of raised access floor. Specially designed environmental rooms allow EMC to simulate extremely harsh operating environments with temperature differentials between 42°F to 64°F.

EMC Corporation, 1234 Laboratory, Franklin, MA

This project consisted of the conversion of 1,300 SF of space to an Engineering Response Center. This function is a 24/7 operation and must remain operational independent of the availability of the electric utility. To provide for a 24/7 operation, the design incorporated a separate AHU for the space.

Communication technologies services for this 3-story, 200,000 SF office and low-bay manufacturing facility. Carefully planned distribution design methods for voice/data communications and electrical bus-ways provides EMC with a truly flexible manufacturing space that facilitates move, adds and changes to production areas.

EMC Corporation, Internet Solutions Group, Hopkinton, MA

This 55,000 SF "flash-track" renovation project demanded a six month design to occupancy schedule in support of web hosting and managed e-business services. The project was approached with the attitude that failure is not an option and featured N+ 2 MEPT redundancies. For instance, site communications feature a primary and secondary dual SONET ring configuration with additional SONET support available via a private network to a remote location.

EMC 176 South Street, Hopkinton, MA

EMC's 700,000+ SF class-A office and laboratory facility in Hopkinton, Massachusetts features a fully fault tolerant communication infrastructure design. Structured cabling within the facility includes raised floor and ceiling distribution systems. The EMC-owned outside plant infrastructure features full route diversity to several site entrances. Service Provider coordination assures that the site is served from multiple xSP central offices. Full route diversity was also achieved with tie-ins to EMC's private network infrastructure that utilizes underground, aerial, and wireless technologies to establish high speed fault tolerant connectivity to geographically dispersed facilities within a seven mile radius.

Fisher Scientific International Corporate Headquarters, Hampton, New Hampshire

In response to concerns for executive, employee, and asset safety, a new physical security systems design for Fishers multi-building campus headquarters in coastal New England was provided. The integrated design includes video security, access control and remote site monitoring through central and distributed monitoring stations.

The International Monetary Fund, Washington, DC

The IMF is an international organization of 183 member countries, established to promote international monetary cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements; to foster economic growth and high levels of employment; and to provide temporary financial assistance to countries. Services included cabling design consulting, program development, bid analysis, and multi-discipline coordination for the new 720,000 square foot world headquarters building in our nation's capitol. A unique aspect of the IMF headquarters is the need to accommodate and facilitate frequent moves, adds and changes, while safeguarding access to the IMF's secure high-availability, fault-tolerant networks.

Investors Bank & Trust, Boston, MA

This 205,000 SF tenant fit-up project in Boston's John Hancock Tower, featured fault tolerant backbone design, financial services networking, 3270 emulation, and a 2,200 SF raised floor computer facility. Network testing and diagnostic services along with a quality of installation report were provided for the existing network infrastructure.

IRS Modernization Project, Andover, MA

This 300,000 gross square foot "fast track" renovation project involved telecommunications (voice/data) design, coordination and integration services with the goal of facilitating moves, adds, and changes by providing "flexible" access to network and electrical services via a utility floor panel/grid arrangement.

John Hancock Corporate Sector, Boston, MA

Project Management and design for the installation of an Ethernet campus backbone supporting four multistory buildings in Boston's Back Bay area. The project included infrastructure design for over 80-stories.

Lucent Technologies, Inc., Andover, MA

Project management and telecommunications design services for high quality voice grade cabling and high-speed data transmission in support of major renovation projects occurring at Lucent's 2,000,000 SF office and manufacturing facility in northeastern Massachusetts. On-site design services include interfacing with contractors and end users, providing cable management solutions, device locations, materials purchasing and staging, field supervision, and manpower projection estimates for Lucent contractors.

Lucent Technologies, Inc., General Provisioning Center, Haverhill, MA

Lucent's 200,000 SF GPC building features a state of the art wireless network. The wireless network is part of an inventory control system featuring real time data entry and order processing from PC's mounted on forklifts.

Mellon Trust, Everett, MA

A 355,000 GSF fast track project consisting of communications engineering, multi discipline coordination, construction administration, and move coordination services. The communications cable plant consists of over a million linear feet of extended frequency UTP cable. Fault tolerant fiber optic backbone pathways serve the buildings main raised floor computer room and 12 remote telecommunications closets.

Nitinol Medical Technology, Boston, MA

A 25,000 SF medical research and manufacturing facility that required high-speed high bandwidth network connectivity in support of research and design programs. The exposed ceilings, large wooden beams and brick walls presented a challenge in esthetically routing communication lines in this data intensive environment.

One Summer Street, Boston, MA

"Hotels without beds" - became a hot topic in the real estate market when this historic 8-story building located in Boston's famed Downtown Crossing area was developed to serve as a multi-tenant Telecommunications Switch Hotel. The basement and first two levels are currently and will continue to be used as Macy's retail space, while the remaining 400,000 SF will service the telecommunications industry. Communication technologies design services included project management and telecommunications site surveys of available street utilities and fiber optic network connectivity.

A new 175,000 SF corporate office and training facility. The communication systems design package includes voice, data, and video infrastructure for interior and exterior plant applications.

Storage Networks, Waltham, MA

As the first Company to focus solely on providing data storage as a Storage Services Provider (SSP), Storage Networks is experiencing unprecedented growth. Collaborating with Storage Networks Facilities, SPOP (Storage Point of Presence), Information Technologies, Outside Plant, and Fiber Ring groups we delivered a truly integrated communications systems design. Floor loading, diversity, equipment cooling, redundancy, and power-secure electrical engineering were key design considerations. The 88,000 SF project features a fiber optic testing laboratory, GOC (Global Operations Center), data center, incubator facilities, and general office space.

The Net-Works, Telecommunications & E-Commerce Center, Philadelphia, PA

The Net-Works is a one million square foot, world-class telecommunications center and E-Commerce office complex located at 1500/1530 Spring Garden Street. The program includes approximately 700,000 SF of telecommunications space located on the lower floor and approximately 300,000 SF of office space on upper levels. An ambitious capital improvement program will invest over 50 million dollars in base building renovations making this redeveloped site the premier facility of its kind in the northeast region.

TMP Worldwide (The Monster Board), Maynard, MA

Voice/data/video network and security design services were provided for the new 97,000 SF corporate headquarters. This data intense project supports a rapidly growing Internet Company's need for high bandwidth fault tolerant network support services. Security cameras where hidden within the unique architectural features of the project.

Wang Corporate Headquarters, Billerica MA

This 150,000 SF "fast track" corporate headquarters project features Wang's East Coast data center and was part of a global technical and product support system which included a 1,400 SF raised floor computer room and a 7x24 (seven day per week, 24 hour per day, 365 day per year) call center.

Williams Communications, Boston, MA

Provided engineering and design services for fast track construction to provide electrical power for this 45,000 SF facility located downtown in the Financial District of Boston.
